The Japanese Film Festival unveils a free online program featuring cutting-edge Japanese cinema – hello Asia!

the Japanese Film Festival: In line returns February 14-27 with a free streaming festival showcasing the best of Japanese cinema.

The Japanese Film Festival Australia is an annual film festival presented by The Japan Foundation, Sydney since 1997. The first-ever online Japanese Film Festival was held across five continents and 20 countries from November 2020 to March 2021.

The 2022 Festival presented by the Japan Foundation will screen 17 films nationwide for free, including feature films and documentaries. JFF Online 2022 marks the second time the Japan Foundation, Sydney will screen the festival across Australia to enjoy online.

“JFF Online invites Australian audiences to celebrate the richness of Japanese cinema from the comfort of their own homes, with an eclectic virtual program crossing the international film festival’s top new winners, old JFF favorites and cult hits”, director of the japanese film festival, Yurika Sugie tell us.
