Torrance Festival Celebrates Japanese Culture – Daily Breeze

The Torrance Cultural Arts Center honored Japanese culture with a weekend at a day-long summer festival that featured food from more than 50 vendors, as well as traditional drum performances and other acts musical.

The eighth annual Japanese Cultural Festival was held on Saturday, September 3 at the Cultural Arts Center, 3330 Civic Center Drive. The event also included anime cosplay and a ramen drinking contest, among other activities.

Japanese restaurant group Shin-Sen-Gumi held the event as part of a celebration of its 30th anniversary.

All ticket proceeds were donated to Torrance.
